Sunday Dread

What to Do When Sunday Nights Fill You With Dread

That sinking feeling starts around 3pm. Maybe 6pm if you're lucky. The weekend momentum drains away and something heavy settles in your chest.

You know the feeling. The one that makes you check your work email even though you swore you wouldn't. That has you reorganising your entire week on Sunday evening, moving tasks around like that will somehow make Monday better. That sends you to the fridge, to your phone, to Netflix, to anything that might distract you from tomorrow.

Maybe you take an unusually long shower. Have that extra beer. Stay up too late because sleeping means tomorrow comes faster. Order takeaway you don't really want just to delay the evening ending.

Most people accept this as normal. "Everyone hates Mondays." "That's just adult life." "At least I have a job."

But here's what nobody's telling you: that Sunday night dread is data. It's not a character flaw. It's not ingratitude. It's your internal system telling you something is wrong.

The question is whether you're going to keep ignoring it.
