We all have moments in our lives when anxiety takes hold of us and prevents us from moving forward in the direction we would like and dealing with the pressures that haunt us.
It stunts our progress and can shut down our ability to do the simple things that lead to a happy and successful life.
Understanding how to deal with this can be vital for your growth and goals as you navigate your days.
The first thing to do is to understand that sometimes our anxiety is simply an imbalance in our body or mind, and can be overcome without any great “soul searching” as to why.
So start with the basics first and move on from there.

The Basics
Here are some simple things to do, and habits to build, that lower and keep anxiety at bay.
- Move your body – Once you wake up, get some water and do some simple mobility exercises to loosen your joints and muscles.
- Go for a walk – Walking is a fantastic way to clear your mind and put things into perspective, and the exercise will help your body and health.
- Stop drinking – Alcohol alters the level of serotonin along with other neurotransmitters in the brain and can increase your anxiety once it wears off.
- Improve your diet – Get the nutrients and the protein you need to ensure your body is functioning well.
- Get enough sleep – You need time to recover, so make sure to schedule the right amount of sleep to allow your body and brain some rest.
Once these items have been dealt with and are under control, you can dig deeper to see how you can improve further and turn your anxiety into success.

Simplify Your Life
Often, we can feel anxious because of just too much going on in our lives, and a sense of being overwhelmed. We tend to think we are capable of doing much more in the short term than we actually can. And when we have unfinished tasks, projects or errands building up and unfulfilled promises, it starts to take its toll.
