Do you go to bed feeling frustrated over how little you’ve actually accomplished during the day? Yet you feel exhausted, as though you’ve been working really hard yet nothing seems to be moving forward. What’s wrong with this picture, where are you going wrong?
It’s not very hard to answer this question, if you feel like this then you are probably spending too much time on junk activities and too little time on activities that lead to long-term value.
Junk activities, what’s that?
Unfortunately, most media consumption today is junk activity. And in today’s media landscape, it’s probably so-called social media that steals most of your time.
There are many other things than social media that can be described as junk activities. Social media is just where most of the eyeballs are today.
Computer games are another obvious example. Sure e-sports are growing fast, but for most people, this is definitely more of a time waste than a career choice. Doing things that are directly harmful to your body and time, due to recovery, like drinking or smoking weed are of course also junk activities. Despite how they may make you feel in the moment. Don’t forget excessive time with porn or unproductive socializing.
In order for you to replace junk activities with productive activities, you need a complete reboot. Your brain needs a detox. Here is how you do it…
