Rest or Quit?

Rest or Quit?

What to Do When You're Too Tired to Keep Going

You're exhausted. Not the kind of tired that a good night's sleep fixes. The deeper kind. The kind that makes you question whether any of this is worth it.

Maybe you've been pushing hard for months. Maybe the results aren't matching the effort. Maybe you're starting to wonder if this is what burnout feels like.

Being tired doesn't make you weak. It makes you human. Everyone who's built something worthwhile has felt this exact exhaustion. What separates the ones who made it from the ones who didn't comes down to what they did next.

When Rest Is the Right Answer

Not all tiredness means you should push harder. Sometimes your body is sending you information worth listening to.

When you're physically depleted, rest isn't weakness. It's strategy. Think about how professional fighters train. They don't spar at full intensity every single day. They'd destroy their bodies before they ever made it to the ring. They alternate hard days with recovery days. They know their bodies need time to adapt, repair, and strengthen.

The same applies to whatever you're building. If you've been running at 100% intensity for months without a break, exhaustion isn't a character flaw. It's a predictable outcome. Your body isn't betraying you by feeling tired. It's working exactly as designed.

Rest can be productive. It can be necessary. It can be the smartest move you make this month.

The key is knowing whether you're taking a break that serves your goals or one that quietly abandons them.
