Perhaps it’s a business or other project that just keeps getting put off until other distractions take over your life.

Consider these reasons why being able to get started is a critical life skill:
- Nothing actually happens until you get started. All the planning, scheming, and visualizing in the world won’t move the needle. At some point, you have to start doing something that will actually produce results. You don’t receive any results until you finally take action and begin.
It doesn’t matter how small the action is that you take. Even small steps lead to large victories. What’s important is that you start your journey and start taking steps towards the story you want to create for yourself in life.
- Momentum. Getting started can be challenging, but progress builds with time. Once you begin, things start happening. As you continue, the magnitude of your results grows exponentially. But you have to get over the hump of getting started.
Compounding actions is real and happens faster than you can imagine. Those 500 words a day could lead to you publishing a life-changing book in a year. That walk around the block could lead to a marathon competition down the line.
Those weekly blog posts could end up with a solid business that provides you with a living.
