Watch any meeting closely and you'll notice something odd. The man doing the most talking about his ability is rarely the man with the most of it.
The one to watch is sitting back. He asks two questions instead of giving ten opinions. He doesn't fight for the last word. When the conversation turns to his area, he doesn't lead with credentials. He just answers, plainly, and lets the answer do the work.
Somewhere along the way, the burden of proof fell off him. The interesting question is how.
