Living The Stoic Way Today For A Stronger Mindset

Rather than crafting a true way of living or code of conduct from our self-improvement resources, it often becomes a sedative for guilt born from our lack of actions or indolence, giving us a false sense of security in our mess.

It becomes another good nonfiction genre that offers us the feeling of achievement without necessarily making any progress.

In case you are tempted to argue yourself out of these somewhat hard observations, it is important you understand that the right question comes before the right answer. Also, it is important we ask hard and relevant questions when we find ourselves in the euphoria of a good philosophy, or when we notice our results are no match for how much we think we know as students of personal development and self-improvement.

After all, the essence of what should be called good philosophy is one that produces good results. This is what gives stoicism its relevance and matchlessness amidst the many philosophies that exist on personal development.

While one may follow any of the many psychological paths or schools of thought that give room and guidance for the expression of quality and healthy thought patterns, stoicism would be greatly advised for its exceptional and practical principles to such ways of living. Looking at the stoic goal, one would understand why stoicism gives you a better and swifter chance toward self-realization and mastery.

Although there is much to be said of the stoic way, we felt the need to crystallize the essence of what we know to be written and said of the stoic objectives into something comprehensive, as much as it is practical and realistic. 

The core goal of stoicism is to find a feeling of inner peace in our soul and not the constantly evolving physical world around us. This is achieved by scaling those bars life sets for us, through the practice of self-control and being aware of our inherent passions, which have the tendency of leading us against our will.
